Ever wanted to hang from a wire high over Wildwood and take a selfie? *raises hand*
Don’t lie…you want to do it too….. and I don’t blame you. You might even score some cool points with your kids.
And I have good news – now might be your chance!
Wildwood’s Hidden Valley announced they are applying for permits to build a zip line attraction to supplement their ski business. Thanks to varied and often unpredictable Missouri winter weather, the park is looking to find other ways to add revenue by utilizing the park’s beautiful campus, which goes largely unused during the warmer months.
Hidden Valley’s owner, Peak Resort Properties recently submitted a proposal to the City of Wildwood to expand its operations to include the zip line tour.
Notable highlights from the proposal include:
- Plan to build four high-tension lines, at maximum heights of 150-170 feet above trees (from peak to peak).
- Tour would be set up for two-person tandem rides with the ability to brake the device to take photos.
- Experience would take approximately 1 ½ hours to complete all 4 lines.
- Goal is to have all 4 lines open in Summer 2018, but the Company would like to have one line open for Fall 2017.
- Zip Tour, the zipline mechanism, is installed at the Company’s Attitash (Bartlett, NH) and Wildcat (Jackson, NH) properties.
- Peak Resort Properties is eventually consider mountain biking, disc golf, etc. (all of which, however, are in discussion stage only).
What’s It Gonna Look Like?
