A few years ago, my wife and I moved into a subdivision where the neighborhood is very social, having many parties for many occasions through the year. We were invited to our first party – the Superbowl party.
One of the husbands had brought a hot sauce called “Mega Death” and had been trying to get someone to try it.
I, being the new young buck in the neighborhood, thought I’d be cool and show off by taking a big swig of this Mega Death sauce.
Big Mistake…..
I realized that this sauce had a little something called the “ghost pepper” in it, which is one of the spiciest things on the planet. I ended up drinking a gallon of milk and soaking my lips in the milk as well (somehow I had got some on the outside of my lips). Not a great impression, although we can laugh about it now.
Losing the Rams this year was like a big dose of Mega Death hot sauce for many St. Louisans, but it was nice to see Anheiseur Busch give a shout out to both their heritage and the City where it all started.
If you missed the commercial, you need to watch it. It was my favorite this year and was almost as good as watching Roger Goodell handing the MVP trophy to Tom Brady. Oh, and be sure to stay away from anything called “Mega Death.”
