Winter has been ruff. Like real ruff, especially for our 4 legged friends who need to get outside and run. The City of Eureka is working to build an outlet for that pent up energy your fur babies have built up from being cooped up in the house all winter (and part of the Spring).
On May 6th, the City of Eureka will open their new dog park inside of the existing Berry Park. The dog park will have two fenced-in areas, one for small dogs and one for large dogs.
Each side will have several interactive obstacles to keep things interesting for the pups.
There will also be several benches for the owners to sit and plenty of waste bags for the owners to pick up their pup’s excrement (please, PLEASE pick it up people!)
The cost is $40 for Eureka residents and $55 for non-residents, for up to 3 dogs.
Dogs must be vaccinated and neutered/spayed. You can apply for your personalized code at the City of Eureka Parks Department (located in the 2nd floor of the Timbers in Eureka). Maps of both the dog park (Berry Park) and the Timbers Recreation Center (where the City of Eureka, Missouri houses their Parks Department) is included below. If you have any questions, you can call the City of Eureka directly at 636-938-6775.
